The 2022 Haunted Red Mill, in its 32nd year continues to feature thrills for young and old. The Haunted Red Mill is the originator of haunted themed seasonal attractions and continues to deliver frights each year. This year’s theme, The Beginning of the End is no different and leaves much to the attendees imagination. The event runs three weekends in October starting October 14th and operating the 15th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th. The ticket booth opens nightly at 5 p.m. and the attraction starts at dusk. Tickets may also be purchased in advance at theredmill.org. Both General Admission and Express Passes are available. Attendees all have fun waiting in the lines and are entertained by the ghouls and zombies, but at times the wait can be 4 hours long so those express passes can be a good value.
If scary isn’t your thing or you have young children come out to Happy Haunts each Saturday October 15th, 22nd, and 29th for a lighter side of the Haunted Red Mill with face painting, cider donuts and a hayride running from 10 to 1. On October 22nd join in the Trunk or Treat located within the Haunted Red Mill attraction with prizes for best decorated cars. If you want to know how it all works, join in on the Lights On! Behind the Scenes tour Thursday October 20th and 27th. You will be guided by one of the creators of the Haunted Red Mill and see the trick floors, hidden doors and special effects for yourself. All proceeds from the event support the educational programs of the Red Mill Museum Village which serves over 4,000 students annually.
