Local historian (and fun storyteller!) Chip Riddle will discuss the infamous Shootout that took place in Jutland, NJ in December of 1926 when the NJ State Police laid siege and shot up the Meany Farmhouse. The aftermath of his event included a massive investigation of the State Police and a civil trial in Flemington in 1927 and eventually resulted in a major reorganization of the NJ State Police.
Coffee, tea and goodies served.
Unless otherwise noted, all Friends of the Red Mill programs are free of charge and take place in the upstairs meeting room of the Museum administration building.
