Red Goes Green!

Saturday, April 13, 2024 11AM-4PM

The Red Goes Green as we kick off our season as the place where people gather! Buy your spring flowers, herbs and plants from local vendors and learn about various local nonprofits that help our environment. There will be demonstrations on alternative energy, kayaking, crafts for the kids and more.

We will also very proudly be hosting a Munsee Lenape Spring Gathering featuring Ramapo Tribal members: flutist Spirit Eagle and storyteller Amelia, hosted by Oleana Whispering Dove, Keeper of Cultural Lifeways. A short film called The Place Where the People Gather (Akuy Eenda Maawehlaang) will be shown. This film weaves together an old Lenape myth with a newer story of wildlife endangerment to form an ode to Indigenous futures, diversity and the continuity of life on Earth.
