Every year at the Red Mill Museum we welcome creative individuals, groups, and organizations to design and decorate holiday trees for the 2023 Festival of Trees (FOT). There are just three days when you can get your tree to the Museum. So, pick a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday — November 17th, 18th and/or 19th from 10am – 4pm for decorating and tree placement at the Red Mill. Bring your family and friends to join in the fun and don’t forget to bring a thermos of hot chocolate too!
The decorated trees will be judged in a contest, so let’s get really creative! The winners will be judged in the following categories:
Each of the winners will get bragging rights and a cash prize of $100! In addition, the viewing public can vote for their favorite tree. The winners will be announced by the Museum.
Decorating and displaying a tree helps to spark holiday spirit for thousands of visitors and generate support for the museum. Participants supply the tree (real or artificial) with lights and decorations for the duration of the event. The trees will be placed outdoors amid the historic buildings on the grounds of the Red Mill Museum Village. Groups or individuals that would like to participate are required to submit a FOT entry form and read the 2023 Entry Guidelines. The deadline to submit entry forms is November 13th, 2023.
