Our Hands-On History Traditional Crafts Festival which gives visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience history firsthand. Attendees will have the opportunity to use the tools, complete the tasks and play the games of childhood as well as try their hands at the essential skills of daily life from the Colonial period to the early 1900s.

Volunteers have played a significant role at the Red Mill Museum Village from its earliest days. In fact, the Museum could not have opened without their crucial volunteer contributions of time, ideas and skills. In 1987 the volunteer group decided to organize formally and the Friends of the Red Mill was born.
